Apexstone Quality Inspection

Quality Assurance

By Apexstone – From Mr. Tianfoo Li, Quality Supervisor

Stone Selection & Veining Consistency

Handpicked Volakas White blocks from Greek quarries, focusing on uniform white background with subtle grey veining. Slabs with excessive patterns, heavy yellowing, or dark spots are rejected to ensure aesthetic harmony.

Surface Finish & Polish

Multi-step polishing process achieves a glossy, mirror-like finish under 1000 lux light test. Surfaces are smooth to the touch, with no pitting, scratches, or dull spots.

Edge Profile & Fabrication

Edges are precisely cut and polished, with no chipping or cracking, especially at corners. All cutouts for sinks and cooktops are measured to within 1mm tolerance for a perfect fit.

Structural Integrity & Reinforcement

Fiberglass mesh reinforcement on the underside prevents cracking during transport and installation. Hairline fractures are detected by tapping; a solid sound confirms no hidden flaws. Thickness is consistent at 2cm or 3cm, with no warping.

Stain Resistance & Sealing

High-quality penetrating sealer reduces porosity, making marble more resistant to kitchen spills. Water droplet test ensures beading for 5 minutes; effective seal is confirmed. Care instructions included with every order for resealing every 6-12 months.

Color & Pattern Matching

Multiple slabs are matched side-by-side for seamless flow across countertops. Each slab is photographed under natural light and shared for approval before cutting. No sudden color shifts or mismatched veining lines between pieces.

Packaging & Shipping Safety

Wrapped in protective foam and crated with wooden braces to absorb shocks. Edge protection and corner guards are inspected after packaging. Shipping partners are trained to handle stone, with tracking provided for peace of mind.

Final Inspection Before Dispatch

Personal sign-off on every order, checking against custom dimensions and specifications. Final visual inspection under bright light to catch any last-minute flaws. If issues arise, rework or replacement is done at no extra cost.
