• Plywood: Use exterior-grade plywood (minimum 1/2" thickness) that is firmly anchored to wall studs to prevent any movement.

Surface Preparation Steps:

• Ensure the wall is perfectly plumb and level.
• Repair all cracks, holes, or imperfections with a suitable filler.
• Sand existing painted surfaces to create a better bonding profile.
• Remove all dust, grease, or debris before proceeding.

2. Adhesive & Installation Method

Correct adhesive selection and application are critical for a permanent bond.

Adhesive Specification:

Use a high-quality, polymer-modified thin-set mortar specifically formulated for natural stone. A white-colored adhesive is preferred to prevent discoloration of light-colored stone.

Installation Process:

1. Plan Layout: Start from the center of the wall and work outwards to ensure balanced cuts at the edges.
2. Apply Adhesive: Using the notched trowel size specified by the adhesive manufacturer, apply mortar to a manageable section of the wall (approx. 3-4 sq. ft.).
3. Set Panels: Firmly press each panel into the adhesive using a slight twisting motion to ensure full coverage and eliminate air pockets.
4. Maintain Spacing: Use tile spacers to ensure consistent joint lines for grouting.

3. Grouting & Sealing Protocol

These final steps protect your investment and enhance longevity.

Grouting Instructions:

• Begin only after the adhesive has fully cured (typically 24-48 hours).
• Use a non-sanded or fine-sanded grout for joints up to 1/8". For superior stain resistance in high-traffic areas like offices, consider an epoxy grout.
• Follow manufacturer's instructions for mixing and application, removing excess grout before it fully hardens.

Sealing is Essential:

• After the grout is completely dry, apply a premium-quality penetrating sealer designed for natural granite.
• This sealer protects against stains from spills (coffee, ink) and simplifies routine cleaning.
• Ensure even coverage across the entire surface as per the sealer's instructions.

4. Care & Maintenance Guidelines

With proper care, your granite feature wall will retain its pristine beauty for decades with minimal effort.

Daily Cleaning:

Wipe surfaces with a soft cloth or sponge using warm water and a mild pH-neutral detergent. Avoid abrasive pads or harsh chemical cleaners which can dull the polished finish.

Periodic Maintenance:

To maintain optimal protection in busy environments like offices or commercial lobbies:

1. Clean surface thoroughly and allow it to dry completely.
2. Reapply an appropriate penetrating stone sealer approximately once every 12-18 months.
3. Promptly wipe up any spills—especially acidic substances like coffee or wine—to prevent potential staining
